And this goes the same for the small yet lethally fast Ganta Gun projectile.

Deadman Wonderland

Crow is able to casually slice the blood bullet in half with a smile on his face. Note that even the smaller, lower velocity blood bullets are still able to give out a hefty damage output. When it comes to deflecting projectiles, fists, feet, and personal weapons, Crow's blades have that covered. The only thing capable of breaking Senji's blades are multi-ton strength and projectiles going at supersonic speeds, so they are very durable coupled with Crow's fast reaction speed.

Not only that, but I'm circling around to my last point about Kiyomasa's speed. Not only is he fast in combat and reaction, but he can pull up his blades in under half a second. And that's at their maximum length, not just standard length as you see in the above feats. Notice how Senji specifically remarks that if "you can't get it out in under half a second", "you can't use it in battle". This quote for one, further reinforces how serious and dedicated Crow is to training and the seriousness of battle.

He accounts many factors, including speed, when fighting. Furthermore, if Crow's blades ever break, he can conjure up another durable blade in half a second. That's insanely fast considering that's the max length we're talking about. It plays in his advantage for defense and surprise attacks to get the drop on his opponent. Remember when I said all wielders of the Branch of Sin have enhanced durability?

My theory on that is the characters are able to minimize their loss of blood and related trauma because of their blood manipulation. So even if they are stabbed, lose a limb, or have internal bleeding, it won't be fatal and they can keep on fighting. This isn't mere speculation either, as every single notable wielder of a Branch of Sin has undergone a huge amount of damage and still manage to fight.

G.R. Howe (Author of Crow Woman on Deadman)

Juiceboks I know will cover what Ganta is capable of enduring in his post, so I'll cover what others have been able to withstand. Besides already fighting with missing organs, Branch of Sin wielders like Owl are capable of losing limbs and having their skin flayed off without a single whimper. Yet he's still able to one-shot the Human Calculator.

Kiyomasa Senji

Notice how Akatsiki, the fighter, points out how much blood Senji has already lost and is confident that the latter is too weak in order to properly fight him. And if Senji was any ordinary bloke that would be true. But Crow is one durable dude. In fact, the video that I posted above with Senji casually deflecting an inexperienced Ganta's bullets, was when Crow had a broken sternum and multiple broken ribs.

Stone the Crows (Wolf Winter 2)

These feats are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the durability department. I can say confidently that the only way Senji is going down is decapitation or by ripping his heart out. And honestly, I think Scorpion is the only one capable of doing that here I assure you he won't though. Finally we get to the most interesting and juicy part of Crow's character, and why I believe his abilities are powerful enough to take on the team. However, I haven't demonstrated the high destructive capabilities.

Not counting the Crow Claws, Senji can use his blood in a whip-like fashion. This type of blood manipulation extends to a longer range. Though he doesn't use it often, he can if needed. Through the above feat alone we have a good sense of the medium range of Senji's blood manipulation destructive capability. With his Crow Claws at various different lengths, Senji is capable of cutting through massive structures and having AOE-like, blitzing slashes.

At mid length Senji's blades are already deadly fast and have amazing reach. Not only can Senji extend his Crow Claws, but he can also use several of them from different sections of his body. This stacks upon my previous point of a surprise tactic mid-fight if Senji ever gets in a pickle. He can simply use another Crow Claw in under a second from his foot, where they least expect it.

Underrated anime corner: Deadman wonderland.

This is a tactic he used against Mockingbird and almost succeeded if not for En and Chan's interference. So not only does Senji have amazing destructive power with his whip-like blood alone, but his blades are extremely durable and are capable of cutting through metal with ease. The fact that they can change in length and be "re-summoned" in under half a second at different body parts all adds up to a very versatile and flexible system of blade combat. One that I'm confident will edge me and Juiceboks' the victory. This quote for one, further reinforces how serious and dedicated Crow is to training and the seriousness of battle.

One that I'm confident will edge me and Juiceboks' the victory. I still got a lot more good feats but I'm gonna save them for the meat of the debate. For now, that's all I got for the opener. Apologies if this felt a bit rushed I'm in a hurry. Your turn boys. Just asking. Yeah sure. Don't really feel like posting scans though. He has dodged lightning, split substances harder than steel, moved faster than demons can see, killed men in one night, fought in an environment akin to the bottom of the ocean, is immune to pain, and swings a pound blade.

Ganta then finds out the truth behind his trial and what's in store for him next. Tsunenaga Tamaki is shown in a virtual world-like chat room with each participant represented by an animal avatar. Tamaki is interrupted by a guard telling him via computer that Crow Senji Kiyomasa is engaging in unauthorized combat in G Ward.

  • Senji asks Ganta Igarashi using Woodpecker for a fight and guesses his answer will be "yes" or "yes". Ganta, thinking that Senji is the Red Man , charges at him with a pipe, but Senji uses his ring to cut the length of his forearm and activates his Branch of Sin : Crow Claw. In a split second, Ganta's pipe is cut up into many pieces and Senji is shown to have two blades formed from the blood spilled from his arms. Not only was Ganta's pipe cut but, Ganta himself is too.

Disappointed in Ganta's lack of ability, Senji questions Ganta whether he is actually the Woodpecker and when he's going to use his Branch of Sin then, leaves once deciding that he is boring. Ganta doesn't allow him to leave and activates his BoS exclaiming that this is for his friends. Senji uses his Crow Claw to block the attack but the blades break and it hits him in the chest. Although the attack didn't seem to even remotely hurt Senji, he compliments Ganta on the fact that he managed to hit his heart then states that he doesn't even know what Ganta meant by "the Red Man" or his friends.

Ganta becomes confused as to how Senji isn't the Red Man but possesses the same abnormal ability then Senji introduces himself and explains that it's his Branch of Sin. After realizing that Ganta thought only himself and the Red Man had that ability, explains that others in the prison known as Deadmen all have similar powers. He then challenges Ganta again but is, rather embarrassingly, stomped on by Shiro, pinned to the floor with her breasts at his face and told not to harm Ganta.
